What a game...
I thought it was just gonna be some normal game...that is, after I put a couple hours into this! :P
It's really fun, EXTREMELY addicting, the main idea isn't so creative, however, the stuff you put in there was, how you earn money, and get to upgrade your equipment, that was awesome, because it gives the game more of a purpose. Well done!
Really fun, very creative! Hope there's someday a level two! Only problem is, it's not gonna have much replay value because certain parts are for the first time you figure it out, after figuring it out, like the Credits or the Refresh, then it's not hard anymore, because then it's just a bunch of steps.
I'll give you some credit.
The concept wasn't bad, but it was terribly made. I mean the way it works is just bad. The controls aren't very good, they don't exactly respond, which is the main problem. Here's the thing, making a game that's hard and challenging, doesn't mean go make it impossible. There's a difference there, because a person doesn't suck at a game because the game doesn't work, just throwing that point at you because I had a feeling you were gonna use that against me. Make a game that is challenging, but yet, works.
It doesn't even work! I click right when I'm supposed to and it says "Miss". Also, the music makes my ears bleed. Also, the concept isn't very fun, it's just flat out bad.
It was a good concept
Problem is, it doesn't work very well. First off, the game is extremely small, so my mouse goes off all the time and ends up missing blocks because I'm not in the little 3 inch area. Also, as one of these guys pointed out, the detection of the bar hitting the block is God awful. I mean, there were times where I hit it full on and it didn't detect it. So I suggest you fix a couple things. But it's a very VERY good idea, the other stuff sort of ruined it though, but because the concept was very good and it could've kept me addicted, I won't give this a flat out 1 or 0. I'll give it a 6.
Here's the thing
The game doesn't do a very good job at explaining since it explains AS you're playing, which isn't very smart. Also, the music is God awful and annoying, and you should at least learn how to stop it when you get game over, or at least give us an option to choose something else.
I don't really see how any of us benefit from this. I mean, it's not really fun, and it's not like we're gonna use this to prank call anybody. Sorry, dude, this isn't really any good.
I know, Super Mario problem is so much better.
It's not bad, could be better when you click things but it's alright, it doesn't always respond when I move the mouse, but it's not bad, it doesn't deserve to be blammed or anything.
I'm not saying I didn't like it...but
There's a reason they make checkpoints in games, it's stupid to have to work so hard to get far and then have to start ALL over again when there's 10 billion things that can kill you, I mean I like challenging games, but not to the point where it's impossible to even get passed a level because it's so hard, it's like...stupid hard, not hard like you can get better at it each time like "ohhh THAT'S how." So the difficulty was my biggest complaint here, but everything else was good, the music was fantastic, the animations were even better. Although this is "Paper Mario" and it's not an RPG so it's not like Paper Mario, I still think you did a good job and it deserves the score it got because it seems to me you worked very hard and took some time out of your life to make this the best it can be, and I definitely give you credit there.
8/10, and voted 4
Not the best
There were some problems. The sound is terrible. Next time search Galbadia Hotel on Google and you'll get TONS of good sounds from there. Don't just record sounds from your gameboy or whatever, it sounds really bad. Other than that the game was alright, but a lot of things can improve.
